Urban Edge Precinct opens new avenues for QIC Watergardens Shopping Centre, offering experience-hungry patrons new reasons to stay and play.
Its sustainably-built interactive amphitheatre gives purpose beyond aesthetics, engaging locals with interchanging content across two gaming zones: an inclusive concrete drum console and billboard, and gesture-activated interactive pillar.
The dwell area is purposefully durable, with youth-skewed inclusivity creating a 'productive, not destructive' mentality. Ongoing bespoke content ensures longevity, while the light-up bespoke drum and billboard combination offers a gaming experience found no where else.
Built with recycled and repurposed materials from local sites, the amphitheatre has a genuine connection to people and place. Born of Melbourne's industrial West, its architecture and gaming reflect the history, momentum and growth of the area while making a commitment to sustainable, inclusive design.
